If you're having trouble recording your video interview, check the following:
Internet connection
You must have a stable and fast internet connection in order to record and send your video within 3-5 minutes. If it takes longer, there may be a problem with your connectivity.
We recommend you to:
Connect to another network (preferably WiFi, not mobile internet).
Reboot the router, wait a few minutes, and try again.
If problems persist, run an internet speed test
Camera or microphone recognition
You must have your camera and microphone enabled on the device you are using to record your video. Otherwise, there will be problems detecting this hardware and you will not be able to record your video.
We recommend you to:
Enable the camera and microphone for all applications on your device. These guides can help you do it: From a computer (camera, microphone)/ From a cell phone (camera and microphone).
Make sure neither of them is being used by another app on your device at the same time.
Device used
You must have enough memory available on your device (PC, laptop or phone) to be able to save and load your video. If Aira shows you the message "Verification problem" and/or "Problem sending video", there may be a problem with your device's memory (available storage), your cache (RAM), and/or the age of your device.
We recommend you to:
Check if you have enough space to save the video on your computer.
Close all your applications and clear the caches on your device.
Reboot your PC/laptop/phone and try again.
If you are using a phone, change it to “desktop mode”. We will show you how to do this.
If the problems persist, try again from another device (the ideal setup is on a laptop with a Chrome browser).
Other problems
“You can only record 5 seconds”: You are probably at the "Test video" stage, where you only have 5 seconds to verify that the camera/microphone is working correctly. In this case, press "Continue" to proceed with your test.
“Video duration”: It is likely that you are not adhering to the video recording times. The video must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds long. It is important that you record it within those time frames to avoid problems.
If these tips don't answer your questions, try re-recording yourself from a computer with the browser Chrome. If you don't have it, download it free here.
